Short mission statement
We equip disadvantaged communities and schools with ICT skills
Mission of the organization
The organisation is equipping school learners, teachers and community members in an impoverished urban area with ICT skills for educational and informational purposes through its awarenet program.
The awarenet program currently consists of three main components:
1. Core Group Support Program: Groups of learners are here given weekly lessons in ICT.
2. School Cooperation Program. Trainers from our organisation work with local schools in order to promote the use of ICT.
3. The Open Lab: One of our computer labs with internet access is open to community members free of charge from Monday to Saturday.

Social impact Statement
The awarenet program currently has an impact on around 1000 school learners and community members on an annual basis through its Open Lab and its School Cooperation Program. Through these programs school learners and community members who otherwise have little or no access to ICT in the school, home or working environment acquire vital skills important for life in a modern, digitalised world.
In addition the awarenet core group program provides a cohort of 40 learners with intensive ICT training for educational purposes throughout their high school career.
