Africa Matters is a registered Non-Profit Company that is transitioning to a social enterprise. Most of our funds are from grants such as the Sparknews fund received earlier this year and the Sainsbury Fund which we are awaiting feedback on. Some of our programs are revenue-generating to cover our costs and to maximise our impact where grant money is insufficient |

Since 2015, we have received 2 international awards for our impact. We have held 12 schools leadership development programs impacting 720 youth, 9 empowerment sessions reaching over 1000 youth, 3 Towards a Better Africa Summits with over 150 attendees at each summit, 8 webinars hosted by young African change-makers and reaching up to 2000 social media users per webinar, 9 radio interviews with prominent stations, and 7 African and global conferences. We have a skilled monitoring and evaluation team who measure the impact of each program. Our aim is to ensure that each program has meaningful impact in the life of each youth. |
