Mission of the organization
Phaphama Small Enterprise Development Initiative is a non-profit organisation that was started in 2014 by a small group of UCT students. Phaphama aims to increase the entrepreneurial capacity of small businesses in the Khayelitsha and Philippi area by connecting them with a consulting team of senior UCT students. These teams provide diverse and specialised attention throughout the year. Entrepreneurs are helped to succeed and student consultants gain practical skills and experience working with the local business community.
