Social impact Statement Since launch in March 2018, we have been able to achieve the following: A medical outreach to Lamingo community of Jos, plateau State in which we screened 128 people for both Hepatitis B and C. Those positive were referred to the Jos University Teaching Hospital; those negative were referred for vaccinations. On Students health day we screened 1,000+ students, lecturers and other university staff for hepatitis. A weekly radio program; One Liver, that reaches about 20,000 people. At NTA College, we screened about 400 individuals for hepatitis B and C. At Plateau State Polytechnic Jos in November 2019 we screened about 400 individuals for hep B and C. Through our online/social media handle @healthyliverinitiative on Facebook and Instagram), we educate about 600 people through our daily to weekly posts. |
